Make a difference in someone’s life, become a Care Partner

Much more than a carer, let us show you how

What is a Care Partner?

We think care work is so important, so much so that we don’t use the title carer, care assistant or care worker. Instead, our Care Partner’s work in partnership with our client’s and their needs - hence Care Partner’s.

Traditionally ‘carers’ refers to anyone who looks after someone else. Carers are essential as some people cannot cope with out them. Today, anyone can be a carer and there is no formal profession or qualification, we think this important role demands far more respect and new title. As a Care Partner, care should be seen as a career.

Superior Training

At Sunday Care Therapy, our emphasis is on training and development. We understand it takes a special someone to do this kind of work. Each person’s care requirements are unique and should be devised in partnership with them. That is why we use the term Care Partner as we understand we are in this together.

Therapeutic Care

All our intervention is evidence based in practice, and drawing on the field of Occupational Therapy as a foundation. Our Care is therefore also a form of therapy, promoting your independence while involving you in every stage of the process. It’s the care you deserve, smart and tailored to you.

We think you deserve more.

Let’s turn care into a career.

We know it’s not an easy job.

From difficult double shifts (why is someone always late?) to staff you can’t get a hold of, to hours you didn’t want to work, or those you did but didn’t get booked. We understand and we’re making it better.

Self directed training is at the heart of our practice, never feel nervous with a client again.

Go from carer to career-minded. Grow with us, we’ll train you in the direction that suits you.

Work with us and grow your career

We welcome any level of experience from the new on the block to the wisdom-filled old souls. We’re looking for exceptional people to take their carer skills to the next level with us. Work closely with an Occupational Therapist, and make a real difference.

Career FAQs

Where are you based?

Sunday Care Therapy is based at 6-8 Dunston Street London, E8 4EB

Where do you provide carer services?

Currently Sunday Care Therapy is only providing care within peoples homes and the community in Hackney, but our aim is to grow across London.

What Qualification do I need to work with you?

It is desirable to have a Level 2 in Health and Social Care. But the most important factor is you want to be part of a new and exciting direction for care provision.

What are the hours?

We operate a 24hour service, our goal is to be flexible. From full time compressed days, (get your full working week in 4 days) to part time or just evenings and weekends, however note we need to put the service provision first

What is the pay?

We are one of the few care providers in London that pay all staff a London living wage. Currently at £11.95 per hour.

I don't have any experience, can I apply?

Completely, we have a very robust internal training program. Our focus is to turn care into a career, with just as much focus on your career development as the care we provide for our customers, over time as our business grows.

What kind of contract do you have?

Initially, we are offering industry standard zero hour contracts. But this will be reviewed as the service develops. You will still be entitled to statutory annual leave and sick leave as part of your contract.

Can you give an example of the training you provide?

We operate a 24hour service, our goal is to be flexible. From full time compressed days, (get your full working week in 4 days) to part time or just evenings and weekends, however note we need to put the service provision first

What are the hours?

We provide industry standard training such as safeguarding and infection control, but also more advanced training such as learning how to take vital signs, basic anatomy, how to deal with challenging behaviour, understanding conditions such as dementia, how to do rehabilitation to support people coming home from hospital and resilience training just to mention a few.

Sunday Care Therapy will also be offering training to Hackney Council & the NHS, so you will be getting the highest quality training available in the industry.

Our training will be tailored to you and your career development.

Do I have to pay for the training?

Not at all, in fact, you will be paid for the initial 3 day introduction and all other training will be provided for free.

I can see you call your staff Care Partners not Carer or Care Assistant, why is that?

Our company is different to the standard care agency, it is founded under the principles of Occupational Therapy, we understand that for the best outcomes we have to promote independence as much as possible, therefore we partner up and work with our clients, not just doing things for them as an assistant. Our Therapists are registered with the HCPC and RCOT, as well as the service being registered with the CQC.

Do your staff get any benefits?

Yes, as a member of the team you will have access to the CareWorkforce App, be entitled to discounts for carers and of course access to the ongoing training. We also have a loyalty program, with biannual bonuses for high performers and a referral program.

I have a disability myself, would I still be able to work with you?

We believe the more diverse the work force the better. We already have links with the London Deaf Information Service who support for people with hearing impairments into work and will consider all applications equally.

Sounds great how do I apply?

Send us an email at careers@sundaycaretherapy.com with your CV attached and let us know a little about you. We will then arrange a zoom call interview. From there you will be invited to our 3 day induction. Once you have met compliance, which is just demonstrating proof you can work in the UK and pass a DBS check we can get you on the books to start working with us.
